This is by far the simplest of all the recipes I’ve made in the past year and a half and as such, I am going to make this a very simple blog post. Love avocado? Make this. Don’t have an aversion to peanuts? Definitely make this. Slaai is a dip that consists of cubed avocado, grated ginger, lemon juice, and crushed peanuts and hails from Swaziland in southern Africa. I served it with sliced watermelon radishes because I had them on hand and they are beautiful, but I think any kind of crudite or pita chip will do. The creaminess of the avocado with that crunch of the peanut did all of things for my tastebuds. It’s a little different but a lot delicious.

Level of Effort: 1
Skill Level: Beginner
Would Make It Again? Yes
Additional Notes: Did I stutter? This was a wonderful surprise and one that we will definitely consider instead of guacamole for our next party.
